About Columbia Spring

The Columbia Spring property is situated on 117 acres in the community of Santa Fe, Tennessee, 10 minutes from downtown Columbia and 40 minutes from Nashville. The historic home at  Columbia Spring was built in 1902 with the farm in continuous operation for 200 years. The “Mule Barn” was built immediately following the Civil War and still remains in exceptional condition, along with 9 other structures that have been diligently preserved for more than a century.

The signature feature of  Columbia Spring is a rock house over a natural spring that flows through the property. The spring house is documented as early as 1822 in a handwritten deed noting the property bounds extend from “the water of Leipers Fork of Harpeth ... to the ‘House of Spring’ where Charles White now lives.”

The mission of the  Columbia Spring venture is to preserve the historical, agricultural character of the property while cultivating community, elevating experiences, and hosting innovative events.

Meet Our Animals at The Farm

Meet Danny; born in 2010, now standing 18 hands high and weighing over 1,985 lbs. He is a rare black Clydesdale with four white stocking feet, a blaze of white on the face, and a black mane and tail. Feathering above the hooves, this long hair covering their ankles makes this breed easily recognizable and it is thought the feather was developed during the first breedings with the Flemish and English Breeds. This feather, a thick mane, and heavy coat helped the breed survive in the Scottish climate.
